Shaz Madani

I have decided on the format of a newspaper/magazine for my book. I really like Shaz Madani's work. It is all really clean, simple and sophisticated. She has done a lot of work for Topshop and when I came across her work I remembered Holger from mind design mentioned her work, and the fact that in house designers should not be wrote off as they still get the freedom to create good design. I love the bespoke typeface she did for the headline, toxic bailout. It looks so beautiful in contrast to the thin plain paper stock and the simple rigid layout of the type. I also love the coloured stocks she has used in the topshop magazine - they are such bold colours that they in a way clash but make the magazine jump and makes it more memorable. I have been wanting to do this as part of my FMP but thought I might as well combine the two, and then I have a subject matter for the magazine too.
